Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
- Arrive at Srinagar Airport or Railway Station.
- Check into your houseboat or hotel in Srinagar.
- In the afternoon, take a shikara (traditional wooden boat) ride on Dal Lake to explore the floating gardens and markets.
- Visit the Mughal Gardens, such as Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi.
- Enjoy a traditional Kashmiri dinner.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 2: Gulmarg Day Trip
- After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Gulmarg, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Srinagar.
- Visit the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
- Explore the lush meadows and enjoy activities like pony rides or golfing.
- Return to Srinagar in the evening.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 3: Pahalgam Day Trip
- After breakfast, take a day trip to Pahalgam, which is about a 2-3 hour drive from Srinagar.
- Visit Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood movie “Betaab” shot here.
- Enjoy a horse ride or explore Aru Valley and Chandanwari, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage (seasonal).
- Return to Srinagar in the evening.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar Sightseeing and Departure
- After breakfast, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, also known as the Takht-e-Suleiman, located on a hilltop with panoramic views of the city.
- Explore the old city and visit Jamia Masjid, a beautiful wooden structure.
- Depending on your departure time, you can do some last-minute shopping for handicrafts like pashmina shawls and saffron.
- Check out from your hotel or houseboat and proceed to Srinagar Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
